Pattern Kitten Christmas/Holiday Sale! $9

image

Still need a cute little gift for someone for (insert December holiday here?) Just want to buy something for yourself but already spent money on gifts? Well now is the time. I’m selling these little guys for $9 just for Christmas. They even come with candy!

If you’re at Pratt you can just come pick it up and pay in cash. If you’re not, shipping will be about $3 in the US and $5 international and you’ll have to use paypal.

Here’s the thing: I have a limited number already made up which I have listed below. I can make more (and about twenty other patterns too) but I wouldn’t be able to do so until after the 16th and there’s a chance they wouldn’t make it in time for Christmas.

Send me a message with questions or requests.

Hi, I love the kitties! So creative and happy looking. Regarding the boxes, you could buy both and then ask which one someone wants and price the kittens accordingly. Adorable!

Hi anon! Thank you for the interest and response.

I had thought about doing that, and it’s a good idea. But I may not be able to simply because of how Etsy works. I think that I have to set a certain shipping price to be paid in combination with the price of the Kitten at the time of purchase. I wouldn’t be able to vary that price based on the preference of individual customers.

Boxes

The Box Problem.

Option A: I can purchase a bunch of boxes for shipping that will fit the kittens correctly. Each box would work out to about 70-95 cents. (This would be added to the shipping cost.)

Option B: I can get boxes that will be a few inches too big in each direction. But they would be free because USPS is just that nice.

Pro/Cons: The bigger boxes would make it easier to include nice packing materials, notes, and might even fit two kittens to reduce shipping cost for a buyer who got more than one. On the other hand. bigger boxes would be a bit bulkier in the mail and might be more difficult to simply insert in a mailbox.

The bigger boxes would also be covered in USPS branding and wouldn’t look as elegant arriving on a doorstep as a plain white or plain brown box would. Generally, this might be a shallow concern, but if the kitten was ordered as a gift, it might be nice to know.

Ordering the nicer boxes might also add some initial wait time for first-run customers as I would have to wait for the boxes to arrive before I could send anything out again.

Opinions?
